Diablo 3 Patch 2.3.0 revamps Act 3 with new features from ‘The Ruins Of Sescheron’ and Kanai's Cube

By

Blizzard Entertainment released a preview of the upcoming patch 2.3.0 for Diablo 3 and it featured the "Ruins of Sescheron." The Remnants of the Barbarian Civilization can be accessed in Act 3 together with new monsters and artifacts including Kanai's Cube.

A few Diablo fans may think that the name "Sescheron" sounds familiar, stated Lazygamer, and it should be as it was last featured in Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction. Although a lot of changes has happened since then, with the city in ruins and inhabited by evil monsters and nasty beings.

According to the patch preview, Sescheron was once a living symbol of the united Barbarian tribes, but was lost to ruins because of Baal. For generations, the children of Bul-Kathos were tasked to defend the gates of the city, since it leads to Sanctuary's most precious treasure, the Worldstone. Sescheron was ruled by Chief Elder Kanai, who was beloved by his people and considered a worthy successor to the Immortal Throne. A bloody battle ensued between the Lord of Destruction and Chief Elder Kanai when Baal was denied passage into the city. This infuriated Baal and he marched his army of the Burning Hells into the Sescheron. Despite the efforts of Chief Elder Kanai and the Barbarian tribes to fight off Baal's demonic forces, the mighty warriors lost and the city was left in ruins.

Aside from the poetic patch description, Blizzard also released patch trailers to showcase what they have in store for Diablo 3's patch 2.3.0. The impressive trailer featured a quick look of the frozen and empty remains of the Barbarian civilization, the monsters that inhabit the city, including a few of the traps and gameplay images in the "Ruins of Sescheron."

Players will be able to explore the "Ruins of Sescheron" in the game's Act 3 Adventure Mode map, reported Shack News. Gamers will be tasked to go through the ruins to find a new artifact called Kanai's cube. The game will also feature new enemies and various hazards that will surely challenge any Diablo fan.

Unfortunately, Blizzard Entertainment has yet to announce the patch's official release date. However, Diablo 3 patch 2.3.0 is currently available on the public test realm.
