More of Lego Batman action movie and his world is set to be revealed as Warner Bros is currently working on the spinoff. Actor Michael Cera is on board and will soon be reunited with Will Arnett who will be voicing the titular role.
Will Arnett is set to reprise his role as the well-received character, Lego Batman in the plastic hero's spin off movie. Arnett reportedly revealed previously that the famous character will be up for some mind-boggling action in the upcoming movie, and the question of whether or not he'll ever be happy will reportedly be addressed.
However, reports now suggest that it's not only Batman who will be getting all the action as Michael Cera has been officially casted to voice Batman's sidekick, Robin. Arnett and Cera previously worked together as GOB Bluth and George Michael Bluth respectively in the series "Arrested Development" in Netflix.
Details about the upcoming movie are still pretty scarce, although pertaining to the setting of the movie, Lego Batman video games might reportedly be good source material for a lego version of Gotham City. The movie's plot is also still unknown as of writing.
Most of the team from last year's The Lego Movie are reportedly coming back for its spinoff. Chris McKay is on board to direct the movie while the original movie's directors, Phil Lord, and Chris Miller are set to produce along with Roy Lee, Dan Lin, John Powers Middleton, and Ryan Halprin. Seth Gramahe-Smith is set to write the script while the movie will be executive produced by Will Alegra.
The Lego Batman movie is set to be released on February 10, 2017 just before another Lego movie, Ninjago hits theaters in July of the same year. More details about the movie are expected to be released in the coming months.
