I am Cait made its much awaited premiere on E!, garnering positive response from audiences worldwide. The docu-series highlighted Jenner's full transition into her new life. The series also showcases Jenner meeting with her children for the first time.
According to an interview with ABC, Caitlyn Jenner admitted that coming out to her family wasn't easy. The reality star shared that it was an emotional moment for everyone when she made the confession. She shared that daughter Kim Kardashian was among the first to accept her transition. She also revealed that it was Kanye who helped Kim accept the truth.
"Since then, Kimberly has been, by far, the most accepting, and the easiest to talk to about it." Jenner shared.
Jenner revealed that she and Kanye West "have never been close" but that she did admit that she did appreciate the brash star's open-mindedness. Kanye was supportive of Caitlyn and he would often help Kim accept what was goig on. The rapper made a cameo on the show, and it was sweet to watch.
"Your daughter's a supermodel. You're a celebrity at every type of thing and it was still like, 'F-ck everyone, this is who I am.'" Kanye said in the clip.
Jenner had earlier said that she and Kanye had a talk motivating her to make the change. "Look, I can be married to the most beautiful woman in the world, and I am. I can have the most beautiful little daughter in the world, and I have that. But I'm nothing if I can't be me; if I can't be true to myself, they don't mean anything."
The rapper has been very vocal in speaking out against homophobia and has emphasized that he has a strong respect for women.
