More shocking Loredana Nesci death update reveals a defense against the accused boyfriend. After Loredana Nesci's boyfriend, Robert Reagan has been charged with murder for stabbing and killing the legal reality TV star, his lawyers now claim, the accused just acted for self-defense.

According to Radar Online, Reagan's lawyer, Shepard Kopp claimed that Reagan, 51, did not intentionally kill the "Loredana, Esq" star, but acted on to defend himself. He tried to "disarm" her after their growing altercation that day. A brief explanation on Loredana Nesci death were given by Reagan's camp showing the reality TV star initially showed violence on Reagan.

"This case is a terrible tragedy. Loredana Nesci was a former LAPD officer, highly trained in the use of deadly weapons. She was also an avid body builder, and was exceptionally strong," Reagan's attorney, Kopp said to PEOPLE in a statement.

"She attacked Robert with a hunting knife in the midst of a domestic dispute. While defending himself against her assault with a deadly weapon, Robert tried to disarm her, and in the intense struggle that ensued she magically suffered a fatal wound."

On Wednesday, July 22, the lifeless body of the legal TV star was found at her Redondo Beach, California home, which she shared with the accused. Reagan was arrested the same day after calling 911 early morning to report Nesci death.

Based on the criminal records gathered by the Los Angeles County prosecutor, Nesci death occurred "during a domestic dispute," Examiner reports. Reagan apparently used a knife to stab the Sundance TV reality star. She was pronounced dead at the crime scene.

Loredana Nesci, 47, was known as "The legal diva" in the reality TV show, "Loredana, Esq." She was an LAPD cop from 1996 to 1998 before becoming a lawyer.

Nesci and Reagan had been dating for over seven years and share one son named Rocco, 5. Their son was not in their home when the crime took place. If proven guilty, Nesci's boyfriend could face 26 years of imprisonment. He is due to face the court on Aug. 20.

Loredana Nesci death brought distress to those who know the couple. One close friend commented that although the pair had reported misunderstandings in the past, they never predicted that things could go that far. Friends of the legal TV star described her as a beautiful, kind, selfless, loving and positive person.
