What's latest after Tom Holland was confirmed in overtaking the lead role of the "Untitled Spider-Man Reboot"-screenwriters John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein have finally confirmed that they will be the script point persons for the web-slinging narrative directed by John Watts. Plus, they revealed their plans in making it more comedic and witty compared to the previous ones.

Rumors have long been circulating about "Vacation" reboot writer-directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein taking over the scriptwriting mantle for the Untitled Spider-Man, rumored to be Reboot. However, the rumors have reached their ends as the two confirmed that they will be penning the first of the latest Spider-Man trilogy. Comic Book reported the two made the revelation during their interview with NPR when they were asked about the finality of their involvement of the new Spider-Man franchise. "We can finally acknowledge that. This is the first time that we can say that we are writing it. We're thrilled," confirmed the duo.

Both Goldstein and Daley agreed that they would create a wittier and funnier take for Tom Holland's Spider-Man, especially with the way that the first of the trilogy will no longer concentrated on how he got his spider powers. It has been widely expressed that the story will unfold with Peter Parker already juggling the superhero and high school life altogether. Based on their explanation, Peter Parker will be a well-adjusted geek who overcomes his outcast status with humor and wittiness, highlighting his way of safety and defense mechanism. They are aiming to create a different kind of Spidey-one the audiences have not seen before. Going back to Marvel president-Kevin Feige's take for the new Spider-Man last April, he also highlighted a certain lack of wittiness in the (previous Spider-Man) movies. This goes to show that their creative minds are in-sync.

The announcement of Sony's and Marvel's collaboration for the Untitled Spider-Man Reboot shocked every fan, comic and cinematic based. With Spidey's story now coinciding with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the two movie productions have decided to jumpstart a new trilogy. It stars Tom Holland as the new Spider-Man with John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein penning the script and John Watts helming the entire production. Spider-Man is believed to make a cameo appearance in Marvel's "Captain America: Civil War" on May 6, 2016 whilst his standalone movie is slated for release on July 28, 2017.
