Samsung announces its highly innovative computer monitor SE370 that wirelessly charges smartphones.

The Samsung SE370 charges smartphones using the Qi wireless charging standard. IGN confirmed that charging a device using this cool computer monitor is fairly easy. It only requires user to place their device on the monitor's base. Upon doing so, the charging process will begin automatically. However, since this advanced computer monitor is using the Qi wireless charging standard, only certain devices will be able to take advantage of its wireless charging feature. Some of the confirmed devices that can benefit on this cool feature are Samsung's own Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge as well as many of Microsoft's Lumia phones, certain phones made by LG, Motorola, Sony and the iPhone 6/6 Plus.

Cnet revealed that the SE370 monitor integrates charging ports directly into the stand, so users simply have to place their mobile device on the stand's charging area to give it the necessary juice. An LED light confirms that the device is automatically being charged.

The Samsung SE370 offers features designed to make viewing easier on the eyes. The monitor uses an eye-save mode that reduces the effects of blue light, which can damage our eyes and cause sleep disturbances. This feature also helps reduce eye strain by tweaking the picture quality to match your surroundings. Furthermore, the monitor has a flicker-free feature that tries to protect your eyes from the flickering that occurs with ordinary computer monitors, Cnet reported.

Lastly, the monitor uses a Plane-to-Line-Switching (PLS) panel, which lets the user to view the screen from within a 178-degree wide viewing angle.

When it comes to regular features, Samsung SE370's specs don't get left behind. Digital Trends report SE370's availability in 23.6-inch and 27-inch configurations that supports up to 1080p resolution. It also utilizes AMD's Freesync technology and has a four millisecond response time, so it should be decent enough for awesome gaming. Input options include Display Port 1.2, HDMI 1.4 and a traditional VGA port.

Meanwhile, Samsung hasn't announced yet either the release date or pricing for these new monitors.
