News on the release of OnePlus 2 spreads over the net that the OnePlus's "2016 Flagship Killer" makes some certain enhancements to the specs while keeping the price low for OnePlus 2. However, it is reported that the device will not be running CyanogenMod OS.
From the success of OnePlus One, the company takes another step to compete against big smartphone companies. Would they still be successful without Cyanogen? As reported by digitaltrends, the OnePlus 2 won't be running CyanogenMod OS.
Cyanogen CEO Kirt McMaster and chief technology officer Steve Kondik confirmed the split "That's probably the last you will see from that partnership unfortunately," said Kondik during the Global Mobile Internet Conference in Beijing.
Now they are up to launch the successor and improved version of their OnePlus One and knowing that OnePlus 2's predecessor gives a high satisfaction to its users, everyone can get excited for the launching of One Plus 2. There are speculations spreading online about the specs.
Based on gsmarena chart, it has a metal frame which is a change from the One Plus One's polycarbonate plastic back. It would come out with a fine and slimmer width at 5.5 inch display. However, its 1080p resolution will look stunning and adaptable for sunny surrounding as the brightness setting increases.
OnePlus 2 is reported that it'll be a low-cost smartphone device but everything one can experience from a high-end android device will be packed in One Plus 2. According to Oneplus.net, OnePlus 2 can stream HD movies and can be played with intensive graphic games because of its 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 processor paired with the Adreno 430 GPU. One Plus 2 is boasting a 13Mp resolution with optical image stabilization and laser focus system.
The upcoming OnePlus 2 is said to be half the price of a high-end Samsung unit that costs $329+, a budget-friendly smartphone to experience the premium Android.
Despite of the fine specs, OnePlus CEO Pei admits that they are anxious about their next product, the OnePlus 2. They just emerged last year and it was never easy stepping up to the burning competition with big companies such as Samsung, Apple, and Google.
