Kingdom Hearts 3 game director Tetsuya Nomura has dished the freshest development details on the much awaited sequel to Disney's popular RPG. He has revealed just recently that the basic gameplay systems and mechanics are about to be complete and the dev team is now directing its efforts on mass production of other elements. Meanwhile, Square Enix has been confirmed to attend two big events this month of August, GamesCom 2015 and D23 Expo, respectively.
In his interview with OPM UK, Nomura stated that fundamentals on developing Kingdom Hearts 3 are done but adding that the team still needs to work on several aspects of the latest installment to to the franchise and such progress is yet to pass the planning stage. When the director was asked by the magazine as to the status of completing Kingdom Hearts 3, he was elaborate to share the details saying:
"For the most part we've established the ground foundations, like the basic systems and mechanics of what's going to go in the game. Development of that is pretty much close to complete. But of course, since this is an HD title, it's now building the resources, and development of the 'mass' elements of it, like mass production of the areas and the actual things that are going into the game.
"Other elements, including the mini-games and other various smaller items; their progress is very varied...some of them are polished and very close to final state, but at the same time some elements are still in the planning phase and I haven't laid out the groundwork yet. But the basic structure of what's going to go in the game is set, it's now a matter of mass production of the different elements."
Meanwhile, Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy 15 composer Yoko Shimomura is reported to appear in an exclusive meet and greet during Square Enix Press Conference at GamesCom 2015 where she will be addressing some fan queries on either of the two games. .
According to Design & Trend, Square Enix's German blog has confirmed some specific details of the event including information on chosen few groups who can join. The said meet and greet happens on August 7 at the Square Enix products booth located in Hall 5.1 - C012 at the said conference's Cologne Exhibition Centre where a maximum 50 people can be accommodated.
As reported earlier via Game Spot, the much awaited Square Enix masterpiece, Kingdom Hearts 3, has also been confirmed to be featured at the Disney's D23 Expo on August 14 to 16 at Anaheim Convention Centre in CA alongside two other AAA titles, the Star Wars Battlefront, and Disney Infinity 3.0.
The show will be presenting all-new gameplay footage and teaser trailers for Star Wars Battlefront, Disney Infinity 3.0 as well as some 'special surprises' for fans who are impatiently waiting to get their hands on Kingdom Hearts 3.
Both fans who eagerly anticipate for new release details on Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy 15 can tune in for new updates from GamesCom 2015 starting 6th up to 9 this week and later from D23 Expo happening from August 14 to 16.
