The cast and producers of the popular CBS TV series The Big Bang Theory answered some questions from their fans during their 2015 San Diego Comic Con panel. Although the cast members were in the dark regarding what season 9 has in store for both the show's characters, the series producers were quick to drop some hints about what fans can expect from season 9.
Cross Map reported that the Big Bang Theory's executive producer Steven Molaro clarified some questions regarding season 8's cliffhanger finale. As fans could recall, the last episode of the Big Bang Theory season 8 showed proved to be quite the crucial turning point in the relationship of Sheldon Cooper (played by Jim Parsons) and Amy Farrah Fowler (played by Mayim Bialik). It was hinted in the last part of the episode that Sheldon was supposed to give Amy a ring which fans have speculated to be an engagement ring of some sort. However, Amy was quick to tell Sheldon that she wanted some space in their relationship. Despite the fans' despair, producer Molaro assured them that their questions about the ring and more about Shamy's future in the series will all be answered in season 9.
Aside from Sheldon and Amy's romance turmoil, Big Bang Theory season 9 will probably showcase a backstory plot for Amy. Breathe Cast reported on how the show's writer Eric Kaplan is also looking forward to writing about Amy and her life story in the series.
As for the other characters of the series, the Hollywood Hills' post about Big Bang Theory season 9 spoilers revealed that the upcoming season will be picking up just hours where the season 8 finale left off. Fans can expect to see Penny (played by Kaley Cuoco) and Leonard (played by John Galecki) in Las Vegas while the beloved Raj (played by Kunal Nayyar) will finally be confessing his love to Emily (played by Laura Spencer).
The Big Bang Theory will be returning to CBS this September 21 with Big Bang Theory season 9.
