5 Seconds of Summer is hitting big with their latest single 'She's Kinda Hot.' The song, according to its members is a 'song of revolution for our fans.' The band does not want to be labeled as boybands, as they are playing some punk rock songs, and of course they do play instruments.
The Rolling Stone had a chance to interview the whole band, following the latest release of their single 'She's Kinda Hot.' "I'm surprised that people love that song because it's heavy as hell. I'm so happy that people are supportive of that type of music again, which is always the type of music that we've wanted to make," said Michael Clifford, the band guitarist.
According to Billboard, the band's latest song was co-written with the twin rockers Benji Madden and Joel Madden of the band Good Charlotte. "Basically we just went in with the Madden brothers to write some songs, and 'She's Kinda Hot' came out of it," said Ashton Irwin, drummer for 5SOS.
Irwin also explained the lyrical meaning of the song, saying "The song tells a few stories of people who don't fit in and they're being pressured to fit in, in each verse. ... And then it goes to the chorus saying we'll be all right, because and we're the kings and the queens of the new broken scene, and we're all together in this."
The Australian band 5 Seconds of Summer may be busy with their gigs and all around the world tour, but they still have time to party and enjoy their youth. According to Fashion Style, members of the band find it difficult to live their life normally, as paparazzis are always around waiting to kick in some scoop.
As Calum Hood said, "We still party, but we're more careful about it."
