Rashida Jones asked Robin Thicke to prom but changed mind in favor of Al B Sure; ends up going to prom alone

By

"Parks and Recreation" actress Rashida Jones confesses she almost went to the prom with "Blurred Lines" singer Robin Thicke when they were younger. However, she remembered she had an earlier commitment with R & B singer Al B. Sure. It turned out though that she never had a date at all.

NOT SURE

In a radio interview, Rashida Jones shared that she and Robin Thicke knew each other because of their parents, reports Perez Hilton. Rashida's mom Peggy Lipton and Robin's dad Alan Thicke both had shows on ABC such as "Twin Peaks" and "Growing Pains" respectively. Rashida and Robin met at an ABC party and exchanged landlines and even flirted with each other, Rashida admits. Rashida went on to say that he called Robin to invite him to her junior high prom which Robin agreed to. However, she had to call him back to say that he could not come because she earlier promised to go with Al B. Sure. The actress said she actually did not remember this until Robin reminded her of it just a few years ago. In the end, Rashida was not able to dance at all.

ET online reports that it turned out that Al B. Sure did not go to the dance with Rashida and she just ended up "working the door". The 39-year old said she borrowed a Betsy Johnson top from her sister and danced all by self in front of a door.

Rashida Jones, who starred in movies such as "Cuban Fury" and "Friends with Benefits", is also a producer. Huffington reports that Jones' latest project is a documentary entitled "Hot Girls Wanted" which was released last May on Netflix that seeks to portray the experiences of young girls who enter the world of pornography.

Aside from being an actress, Rashida Jones advocates the welfare of exploited women in her latest docu.
