'Sense8' season 2 renewal on Netflix is still up in the air. The series producer J. Michael Straczynski does not even know what its future but remains hopeful for its comeback. He also revealed the initial 5 year arc plan for the series is not true.
During Netflix's presentation at the Television Critics Association Press Tour last Tuesday, 'Sense8' co-creator/executive producer J. Michael Straczynski has spoken his mind by saying that he does not know what the future holds for 'Sense8' season 2, according to IGN.
When asked about the development of 'Sense8' season 2, all he said was, "We're still waiting word for the final determination, but the talks have been optimistic. It's Netflix's call."
The answer was indeed short and frustrating, especially for media and fans who want to squeeze out some spoilers from the panel during the said event.
Now, frustrations from fans will be added because we found out the initial plan of '5 year arc' may not be happening, as reported by Indiewire. Straczynski may have disappointed fans by saying, "Heck, No! But we're a long game kind of people. For ourselves, for the writing, we have to figure out where all this pays off. Season 1 is obviously about origins."
"The way that the Wachowskis and I tend to work," he added, "as we created the show together, wrote it together, is that we are long‑game kind of people. We look down the road to say, 'Okay. We're setting this up now. Where is this going to go?' That doesn't guarantee we're going to go five seasons, but for ourselves, for the writing process, we need to, kind of, know where we're going, where this all pays off, what this means."
And for the record, the only 'Sense8' season 2 spoilers that Straczynski said was, "Season 2 has its own particular arc. And we've figured it out from there. But to spoil that here would not be in the best interest of the surprises we have in mind."
But then again, 'Sense8' season 2 renewal is still up in the air.
