About a year ago, OnePlus shocked the market when their OnePlus One phone went neck in neck with market leaders Samsung and Apple. This year, OnePlus is again on the hunt to duplicate their success last year by introducing their latest baby, the OnePlus 2 smartphone.
The OnePlus 2 smartphone will be equally competitive with its competitors because of two things, affordability and excellent features. Also, the OnePlus 2 is expected to be a hit again, like its older brother, due to the company's success strategy with regards to distributing their phones in the market.
Bidnesset wrote that OnePlus' OnePlus One smartphone almost won over the hearts of the Android lovers due to its high-end specs and yet an affordable price at only $299 per unit. What added to the hype of OnePlus was the company's move to have their OnePlus One phone on an invite only type of purchase. With this move, the company has sold a little over 1.5 million which is not bad at all from a not so popular phone manufacturer.
In relation to that, OnePlus is again on the move and introduces the OnePlus 2 smartphone, which is obviously the predecessor of the OnePlus One unit. According to Libreprensa, the newest OnePlus phone will have a sleeker look as compared to its older sibling but will still have the 5.5 inches screen, but will be brighter and better.
The company also boasts on the phone's 13MP primary camera with a lightning fast fingerprint sensor which is same as Apple's TouchID. OnePlus 2 also supports a 4GB RAM and is powered by Snapdragon 180 chipset.
Online news website DailyMail, on the other hand, dubbed the OnePlus flagship smartphone as the iPhone killer. The news website detailed on their report that the OnePlus 2 machines will be officially available in the market by August at an ultra-low price of $329 apiece. The phone will run on Android Lollipop and will boast a 1080p screen resolution.
OnePlus blindsided everyone, including Apple and Samsung who are rumored to release their latest flagship phones this coming fall, with the release of OnePlus 2. Would this move force Apple or Samsung to move their scheduled launches on their upcoming phones? Maybe not, but who knows.
