All Katy Perry wants to do is move into her new home that she has had her eyes on for years, and she's agreed to pay $14.million for it. But as easy as it may sound for the singer that can definitely afford it, it may be months or even years before she can move in.
Katy Perry has had her eye on a hilltop Roman villa style Catholic convent near HollyWood that is currently being run by 5 nuns. The problem is the property was accidently double sold to Perry and business women Dana Hollister.
According to Pagesix, last Thursday Superior Court Judge James C. Chalfant stated that he believed a group of nuns improperly sold the convent to Hollister. Though the judge ruled that the sale to Hollister was invalid he ordered her to pay $25,000 a month which would go towards supporting the nuns. He also denied representatives for Los Angeles' Catholic archbishop or Perry access to the convent during the dispute.
A report from jezebel the archbishop was the one to make the deal with Katy Perry, however the nuns were not having it as they supposedly didn't like what they saw of Perry after seeing her music videos on YouTube. However Perry's plans were to make the religious place into her own private home, where Hollister is planning on turning the place into boutique hotel and restaurant.
Yahoocelebrity.uk reported that the archbishop is the only one that can approve of the sale. The Roman Catholic convent is under his care and he should be the said person to make the decision. According to the report the archbishop agreed and wants to sell the luxurious place to Katy Perry
Despite this being so, after being over ruled by Judge Chalfant, Perry may have no option but to sit and wait for further instruction on what she can do next to obtain the luxurious convent that she badly wants.
It has yet been said what is next for Katy Perry and the convent that is landscaped over 8 acres, however one thing's for sure, Perry won't be getting anywhere close to moving in as long as the nuns are about.
