Two smartphones are making waves to probably be one of the best sellers in the last quarter of 2015, the Motorola Moto X Style and OnePlus 2. These two smartphones are Motorola and OnePlus' flagship phones and both are packed excellent features. But the most exciting thing about the Moto X Style and OnePlus 2 would be their prices.
Tech experts can't resist the urge to compare the possible breakaway stars of the phone industry. A tech review website pointed out the clear advantage of the two amongst its other competitors, PCMag were really into the Moto X Style and OnePlus 2's prices. These two are priced at $399 and $329, respectively.
Another website took a swipe of what the two will offer their potential owners with regards to the phone screen and resolution. IBTimes said that when it comes to screen size, the Moto X is clearly the winner with a larger 5.7-inch screen, which basically falls in the phablet category, on the other hand, OnePlus 2 only offers a slightly smaller screen at 5.5-inch. The OnePlus 2 will also have an HD Display while the Moto X Style will be equipped with the more advanced Quad HD display. In this category, Moto X is the clear winner.
To add, PhoneArena also agrees with IBTimes when it comes to this department, the tech website also cited that Moto X' sharper resolution which has a 515ppi of pixel density is far better than the 1080p resolution of the OnePlus 2.
When it comes to the processor, OnePlus 2 will be equipped with a faster 810 Snapdragon chipset while Moto will have the little bit slower Snapdragon 808. The 810 chipset is equipped with an improved GPU but is notorious in overheating. The 808 meanwhile, although a bit slower than the 810, is more reliable when it comes to overheating, but it sacrifices some of its power in order to address the thermal issue.
One last important distinction between OnePlus 2 and Moto X Style is the NFC radio chipset. The NFC is basically a set of protocols that makes smartphones communicate with each other by touching the device together or bringing them in proximity typically 10cm or less. Moto X Style has it while OnePlus 2 doesn't.
If specs per specs and features per feature, the Moto X Style are the clear winner of the race, but the specs is just a part of the entire process. Although Moto X Style might leave the OnePlus 2 behind by the miles, but on the flip side, what OnePlus did last year cannot be taken for granted.
