The second generation of Meizu M series named Meizu M2 has just been launched by Chinese smartphone manufacturer Meizu. The entry-level smartphone is said to be available in Blue, Pink, Grey, and White color variants.

It's just a month ago since the Company has launched their high speced Meizu MX5 handset and now, they immediately launched again their new budget device Meizu 2.

The NDTV Gadgets suggests that the latest Meizu m2 smartphone runs on the firm's proprietary Flyme UI 4.5 that's based on Android 5.1 Lollipop and said to feature a polycarbonate unibody. The handset was reportedly powered by a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor clocked at 1.3GHz, clubbed by 2GB LPDDR3 RAM it is and Mali T720 GPU.

Moreover, a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) resolution display covered by AGC Dragontrail protective glass with a pixel density of 296ppi, was said to be featured in this device also. The handset's screen-to-body ratio is 75.6 percent.

Another report from ccnworldtech claims that Meizu M2 supports a hybrid dual-SIM that permits second SIM slot to be used as MicroSD card. These two SIM slots support a 4G LTE as well.

When it comes to its camera, the Meizu M2 was said of featuring a 13-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protective lens glass, gadget-gyaan reported. The handset also sports an LED flash too. The 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture was also reported of coming along with FotoNation 2.0 smart selfie enhancement, and Face AE face light boost functionality.

In terms of the connectivity, the latest Meizu m2 smartphone supports 4G FDD-LTE, TD-LTE networks with the SIM cards, GPS, A-GPS, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth 4.0. The device measures 68.9x8.7x140.1mm and weighs 131 grams.

A Sony-made 2500mAh battery was reportedly working on the Meizu 2 which will deliver up to 23 hours of talk time on 2G, 10 hours of internet surfing on 4G and 680 hours of standby time.

Per NDTV Gadgets report, the Meizu 2 entry-level smartphone which comes in different color variants is currently having a price tag of CNY 599 (roughly Rs. 6,200).
