The Honest Company is an all-natural, eco-friendly product line owned by Jessica Alba. Lately, there have been a public issue with regards to their sunscreen line which has caused users to complain all about it in social media. The customers have claimed that they have sunburned bodies despite the company claiming that the sunscreen lotion offers SPF30.
As reported by People, the Honest Company released a statement saying that their sunscreen lotion was tested by an independent third party with regards to the protocols prescribed by the U.S. FDA (Food and Drug Authority). According to the results of the test, the product is safe and effective for an 80-minute water resistant use. The product is well and with accordance with the regulations of FDA as long as it used well following the directions of the product. Despite the numerous complaints and allegations, the billion-dollar company has sold out their products nonetheless.
The angry consumers have taken their complaints to the Honest Company's Facebook page by posting photos of their sunburnt skins. As testified by Inquisitr, the complaints received by their website reaches only half of one percent of all the units sold by the company. However, despite all the complaints circulating around social media, the eco-friendly business stands by their claims that their products are effective and safe.
With summer being the most-loved season of the teens today, sunscreen lotions have definitely hit the market. Given the speculations they have made against Jessica Alba's company, they are definitely up against a big crowd. Although the company has already stated according to Today that the percentage of the complaints is so minimal that it can be disregarded, it is still taken seriously by the crowd.
Despite the claims of the company that their products are efficient and the tests prove it, it definitely hasn't stopped the consumers from posting photos of its inefficiency. The Honesty Company continues to sell the said product despite crticisms from the public.
