Monster Hunter X Confirmed to Hit Japan in November; Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate August DLC Adds Plethora of FREE Quests and More

Capcom continues to fuel the excitement for Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate fans with a plethora of free thrilling add-ons from August DLC Pack that is now available for download. Meanwhile, the hype for Monster Hunter X is on with two new gameplay trailer vid teasing monster hunting aficionados on what to expect from the next main title to the franchise.

Starting August 7th, 3DS gamers across all regions can now download the freebie items such as new challenging quests, bonuses and the addition of the final quest 6: Lay of the Land that will get the attention of players for quite awhile to finish up in this month's Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate DLC Pack.

The full list of items found in August DLC Pack for Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate include the following:

  • Challenge Quest 8: Hunt a Tetsacabra
  • Challenge Quest 12: Hunt a Nerscylla and Zamtrios, then Emerald Congalala and Shrouded Nerscylla
  • Party Challenge 2: Hunt a Frenzy Congalala and Frenzy Emerald Congalala
  • Monster Fest 5: Hunt an Ash Kecha Wacha
  • Ruby of my Eye: Hunt a Ruby Basario
  • Song of Extremes: Hunt a Gypceros with Stygian Zinogre
  • Only the Strongest Survives: Hunt a Shrouded Nerscylla and Khezu
  • The Brave Warrior: Hunt a giant Seltas
  • Bewitching Blossoms: Hunt a Pink Rathian
  • Foreboding Lightning: Take down a powered up Rajang
  • Final Episodic Quest 6: Lay of the Land, quest line provided by Monster Hunter 2's Jumbo Village's Chief
    - Bonus: A Spreading Scourge unlocks Glass Royale hunting horn
    - Bonus: Mist Amid the Ruins unlocks the Pride of Hearth hammer
    -Bonus: Total Eclipse unlocks the only battle with White Fatalis
  • Purple support Palico
  • New titles and a guild card background

According to Geek Snack, this latest bundle doesn't support cross promotional content this time but the good news for this update is the White Fatalis fight which most of the monster hunters out there have been waiting for to fine tune the armor sets.

Meanwhile, the latest main title to the game series, Monster Hunter X, is confirmed to launch as an exclusive Nintendo 3DS title this coming November in Japan. Just this week, Capcom has unveiled two new Monster Hunter X gameplay videos that revealed two weapon types with various features to enable monster hunting aficionados to use dynamic fighting techniques and moves.

There is no release date announced for the release of Monster Hunter X in North America and Europe as of this time and while waiting, the fun doesn't stop for Nintendo 3DS gamers with the newest set of Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate August DLC Pack now available for free download.
