Emma Watson revealed that her role as a Goodwill Ambassador by the United Nations Oganization for UN Women has given her the greatest sense of purpose and peace of mind.

The Harry Potter alumna said that she felt a sense of purpose and peace of mind in doing her role as a Goodwill Ambassador for UN Women. Emma Watson, a graduate of Ivy League Institution of Brown University with a bachelor's degree in English literature is the first ambassador appointed under the leadership of Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka - the Under Secretary-General and executive director of U.N. Women.

The young actress is the cover for Vogue's September issue. She told the magazine of her role as a Goodwill Ambassador for UN Women: "Part of me relaxed after I took on that position, it gave me a sense of belonging and purpose. Everything clicked in to place, in a way that it hadn't before. I understood what I'm here to do and knew where to channel all this energy that has been coming at me. I now feel this sense of peace. People say that I'm different since I did it."

Watson said that she sometimes goes back on how or why she became famous. On having acted at such a young age she shared: "It's something I've really wrestled with. I've gone back and I've quizzed my parents. When I was younger, I just did it. I just acted. It was just there. So now when I receive recognition for my acting, I feel incredibly uncomfortable. I tend to turn in on myself. I feel like an imposter... It was just something I did."

The 25-year-old British actress is best known for her role as schoolgirl witch Hermione Granger in eight "Harry Potter" films between 2001 and 2011. She has subsequently pursued a career, usually in supporting roles, in independent films such as Sofia Coppola's "The Bling Ring" and blockbuster fare such as Darren Aronofsky's "Noah."

She was in the news September last year after the video of the launch of the "HeforShe" gender equality crusade of the United Nations, where she spoke, became viral. Watson's cause is to promote gender equality and work towards the empowerment of young women in the role. She was named after undertaking humanitarian work in the area of girls' education in Bangladesh and Zambia.

Watson is now juggling her role for the UN with her busy acting career. She is currently filming Disney's live-action musical version of "Beauty and the Beast," starring as the titular beauty Belle.
