In an interview, Perrie Edwards broke off her silence on her breakup with her ex-fiancée, former One Direction singer Zayn Malik. Reports also claim that the two broke up after two years of being engaged when the former 1D hunk felt he was pressured to set a wedding date.
The blonde the "Little Mix" star seemed fine as she sat down with her band mates, Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock for E! News interview. When asked how she was coping after her split with Malik, the singer immediately replied that she's good.
The site claimed Edwards had a "giant smile on her face" and was doing fine after her separation with her ex-boyfriend. She's been supported by her bandmates since she split up with Malik. An insider revealed she was told she's better off without him after he treated her bad for a long time.
At the midst of their breakup, a source revealed to Hollywood Life that the 22-year-old former boy band member felt being pressured for setting their wedding date.
A source revealed that the two have been struggling for months. Both of them were busy as she's been touring and he's been focusing on his new career. They hardly see each other and they hadn't had s** in over two months.
"The further they fell apart, the more anxious she got and the more she started pressing him to set a wedding date. She pushed and pushed and finally Zayn told her he didn't want to get married," the insider added.
Before Malik's departure with One Direction, cheating rumors of Malik have already surfaced.
"I'm 22 years old... I love a girl named Perrie Edwards...And there's a lot of jealous f--ks in this world I'm sorry for what it looks like x," Malik tweeted back in March.
Malik and Edwards were engaged in August 2013 after dating for more than a year.
