Tyrant season 2 episode 9 spoilers reveals that Abuddin leader Jamal is consistently becoming less trusting of people around him. He chooses to trust only Khalil who is actually his brother Barry Al-Fayeed. Molly finally finds out about her husband and is reunited with Barry as conflicts between the resistance and the Caliphate army continues.
Entitled "Fathers and Sons", Tyrant season 2 episode 8 showed us the beginning of Jamal's struggle with trusting those around him after he doubts the actions of Rami, one of his illegitimate sons. Rami has since then proven how worthy he could be as a future leader of Abuddin by proving his ability to adapt to various situations through his efficient leadership skills and modern ways of thinking.
However, as Rami approaches his grandmother, Jamal's mother Amira, Jamal becomes quite skeptical of Rami's actions thus increasing his distrust for his son. Aside from Jamal, other characters of the series seem to be distressing their own way. The recent death of Mehdi Dehbi's character Abdul has very much traumatized Sammy Al-Fayeed and has since then showed his strong alliance for the resistance against the Caliphate Army.
The previous episode also showcased Barry's struggle with whether or not he need the support of the palace in order to ensure his safety and survival in Abuddin. In episode 7, Barry made the brave attempt to rescue Daliyah and the consequences that followed-which involved him getting shot by Samira-he has since then reconsidered the significance the palace might have on his survival.
The upcoming episode for Tyrant season 2 entitled "Inside Men and Outside Women" will reveal more of how Jamal would deal with the increasing threat to his seat of power and how his budding relationship with Khalil will affect his state of authority. Khalil, who is actually Barry, will also finally be reconciled with his wife Molly. Meanwhile, Ihab, a member of the resistance group, will become suspicious of Khalil.
Tyrant season 2 episode 9 will air this August 11.
