If you want to see what happened to the future Star-Lord after he was picked up by Yondu's alien spaceship, Disney XD's upcoming 'Guardians of the Galaxy' animated series will answer that. The cartoon series will include how Quill got his signature blaster and many other interesting facts about the Star-Lord.
Disney XD is set to release its animated series of 'Guardians of the Galaxy' in September. But before the premiere, Marvel has already released some spoilers for the cartoon series.
According to IGN, the newest promo for 'Guardians of the Galaxy' features action set to Blue Swede's "Hooked on a Feeling" and other scenes similar to the sequences from its live-action counterpart.
International Business Times reports that the Disney XD's 'Guardians of the Galaxy' will see the events after the future Star-Lord or Peter Quill captured by Yondu's alien spaceship. Thus, it will feature how Quill and Yondu's relationship began, as well as the events that Quill received his signature blaster. But fans knew that there is more to that.
As per official synopsis via Coming Soon of the series: "'Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy' follows the newly-formed team who finds a strange artifact keyed only to the DNA of Peter Quill. Upon opening it, Quill unleashes a treasure map leading to a powerful weapon known as the Cosmic Seed which is capable of giving birth to the next universe. It's up to the Guardians to find, protect and ultimately destroy the Cosmic Seed in order to keep it out of the hands of those who would abuse its power, from galactic big boss Thanos, to the conniving brothers the Collector and the Grandmaster, to a resurrected Ronan, to the ultimate trickster, Loki, in order to save the universe."
'Guardians of the Galaxy' voice cast includes Will Friedle as Peter Quill/Star-Lord, Trevor Devall as Rocket Raccoon, Vanessa Marshall) as Gamora, David Sobolov as Drax the Destroyer, Kevin Michael Richardson as Groot and James Arnold Taylor as Yondu and Cosmo.
The series is set to premiere on Disney XD on September 26 at 9 p.m. But before this, we will get to see some more sneak peaks on Saturday September 5 at 9 p.m.
