Kelly Osbourne already gave her whole- heartedly sorry on her Facebook account after her racist comments againsts the Latino community. However many social media followers seem to be very offended by her choice of words. Latino Organization La Raza requests Osbourne to educate herself about the Latino community.
Kelly Osbourne is facing a counterattack following her comment in The View on Tuesday morning. Kelly shared her points of views about Donald Trump's problem with racism, she said, "If you kick every Latino out of this country, then who is going to be cleaning your toilets, Donald Trump?" This comment instantly became viral and the Latino community became very upset about it, including the The Latino Organization La Raza as reported by E!News.
Social media instantly reacted to Psbourne's comments as well including radio personality Malcolm Star. Star was present during the episode of "The View" where Osbourne made her comment. The radio personality took to Twitter, "Can't believe what @KellyOsbourne just said!!!#theview."
Osbourne later on made a statement of apology about her choice of words, but disagreed on the thought that she is a racist. She mentioned via her Facebook account, "In this particular case I will take responsibility for my poor choice of words but I will NOT apologize for being a racist as I AM NOT. I [am] whole- hearted f--ked up today."
This isn't the very first time Osbourne has taken part of a racial disagreement. Just months ago, she was present during Giuliana Rancic's remarks about Zendaya's dreadlocks on the Oscars Fashion Police. This lead her to quit the show for a while.
Although Osbourne has officially made a comment about it and apologized for her remarks, Lisa Navarrete, a representative from the National Council of La Raza, the largest Latino advocacy organization in America, released a statement via E! News. According to Navarrete the commentary Osbourne made on "The View"about Latino immigrants cleaning toilets is an example of a privilege, and said, "This is how someone in her position views our community most of the time."
Navarrete is also hoping that this experience will help Osbourne learn the whole breadth of the Latino community. She even added, "I recommend highly that she get herself educated to how the community and talk to people like Rosie Perez at length about this sort of things."
Now that both parties made their comments about the controversy, Osbourne also mentioned that this will surely be a valuable lesson for her. She even concluded in a statement that even a personality like her cleans her toilet too.
