Singer Demi Lovato and actor Wilmer Valderrama have been in an on-off relationship for what seems like years, but today the happy couple are going strong despite certain rough patches they went through.

In a report from the Dailymail, Demi Lovato opened up to Cosmopolitan about her relationship with Valderrama. In the interview Lovato talked about how she didn't see their relationship as 'on-off' as their splits and time apart were only due to her addiction struggles and problems. The singer stated "The only times we ever broke up were when I was relapsing, whether it was drugs or in a bad place and rebelling against everybody, not just him."

Lovato went on to explain "We started dating when I turned 18. Right after that, I went to rehab." She then continued with "People told him, 'You should probably leave. She's on a spiral, and you're going to be sucked down with it.'' But according to the famous singer, the love of her life wasn't going to give up just like that, Lovato shared "But he was like, 'I'm not leaving. This is somebody I really care about.''

According to New York Daily Mail, Lovato was overwhelmed with the love and support that she got from her boyfriend during her time of need. Having him stand by her side throughout her different issues has been something that Lovato desperately needed.

However, putting all the love aside, one thing Lovato doesn't like about Valderrama is that he's close friends with her ex Joe Jonas! Hollywood Life reports that Demi Lovato admits she doesn't like their friendship and even opened up the topic with Valderrama during the early stages of their relationship.

Demi opened up to Cosmopolitan about how she first felt when she found out Valderrama and Joe Jonas were friends. "Why the f**k are you friends with Joe?" Lovato recalled saying, only to get a response from her boyfriend, "He's a cool guy." Cringing Demi answered "Yeah, I know. I dated him."​

Though Demi Lovato was not 100% pleased with Wilmer Valderrama's friendship with ex Joe Jonas, she has moved on from the hating stage and is simply enjoying her time with her main man now that she has fully recovered.
