Google is rescheduling the release of final phase for its new Android software due to some issues that are needed to be resolved. Software developers are planning to release the new OS this fall which was formerly referred to as Android M and now, Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The new OS is expected to include great features and security that can maximize the use of Android devices.
The original release date of Android M Preview 3 was supposedly on July 30, but Google decided to delay it for few more months, AndroidPit reported. In the news, Android Developer Advocate Wojtek Kaliciński wrote that they would like to carefully check on the flaws of the new OS.
Advocate Wojtek did not give any exact release date of Android Marshmallow, but the report said that it may finally be released in early October.
Know Your Mobile conveyed that once the final phase of Android 6.0 has been fully developed, it shall be sent thru an OTA just like the other operating systems. This delay was due to reports that some applications had crashed on Android phones and other issues were encountered after the release of Android M Preview 2.
On the other hand, Trusted Reviews mentioned that Android Marshmallow is expected to offer interesting and improved features. One of the features is mobile payment service which will make purchase easier and quicker. Another is Google Now On Tap which will allow users to get useful information whatever that runs on the screen.
Furthermore is an improved App permission which filters applications that are accessible only on the phone. The new OS will also offer Doze which will give battery life a boost. Direct Share which will make file transfer easier due to prioritizing frequently receiver. Finally, the Android 6.0 will offer Floating toolbar which will enhance copying and pasting contents from web pages and documents.
For the meantime, Android phones can use Lollipop until the release of Android Marshmallow.
