News sometimes comes in a very unexpected way. Unbelievable as it seems but the most awaited StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void may be out sometime before this year ends.
During its Q2 2015 earnings report on Tuesday, Activision Blizzard, the parent corporation of Blizzard Entertainment, has confirmed that StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void will be released in 2015, reveals IBTimes.
More good news are also in today direct from Gamescom 2015 as Blizzard Entertainment has unveiled a new gameplay trailer and additional exciting details for StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void's co-op mode, Allied Commanders. According to GameSpot, this new mode allows a group of players to defeat various enemies together across objective-based missions.
Based on the mode's moniker, a gamer plays a commander role in StarCraft universe where each commander owns unique characteristics and skills that can be used to gain advantage and win. The 3 commanders confirmed are Jim Raynor, Kerrigan, and Artanis and it is expected that other commanders will be announced in the near future.
Meanwhile, pre-ordering the game offers players free prologue mission series called the StarCraft 2: Whispers of Oblivion. Whispers of Oblivion is a special three-mission prologue series which is going to be free for everyone and is created to bridge the storyline between Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void.
And for those who do not know, StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void will be playable at the TwitchCon 2015 next month and new content for the title is expected to be revealed at the event by the publisher.
The announcement the said new content would be expected during the keynote presentation from Twitch founder and CEO Emmett Shear, as other publishers and event exhibitors are also making exclusive announcements during that time. Also, another Blizzard title, Hearthstone: Heroes of WarCraft, can also be played at The Intel Gaming Lab. Other titles that are playable at the TwitchCon 2015 are Deep Silver's Mighty No. 9, and Capcom's Street Fighter V. The event is set on Sept. 25 and Sept. 26 at the Moscone Center, San Francisco, CA.
StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void developed for Windows PC and Mac OS X started a beta testing on March 31 which featured a host of new multiplayer modes and is now confirmed to release this 2015.
