Mariah Carey will be making an appearance in season two of 'Empire'. Lee Daniels, who is the creator of Fox's hit TV series 'Empire' has confirmed that Mariah Carey will be starring in the latest season of his show.
According to the Daily Mail, last Wednesday Mariah Carey had her own star placed on the famous 'Hollywood Walk of Fame'. It was at the ceremony when Mariah Carey was being introduced that Lee Daniels took the opportunity to break the good news. "Watch her on Empire you guys," Daniels told the crown, "she's coming to Empire."
Another report from ET online confirmed that Mariah Carey and Lee Daniels will be working together for the fourth time, having previously worked together on films 'Precious,' 'Tennesss', and 'Lee Daniels' The Butler'.
Entertain This reported that though there has not yet been an official deal between Mariah Carey and Fox, co creator Lee Daniels is sure the famous singer and diva will be among the cast in season two of Empire.
Daniels and Mariah Carey have been good friends for a while now; it goes back to Daniels first film which he directed in 2005, 'Shawdowboxer'. Apparently it was during this time that Daniels was introduced to Mariah Carey by a mutual friend. Since then Daniels and Mariah Carey have stayed friends; Daniels even stating during the Hollyword Walk of Fame ceremony,"I love you with all my heart. I'm so proud of you."
Other sources such as 'Variety' have reported that the director couldn't hold back his happiness about the upcoming project with Mariah stating 'I'm very excited to see where she goes on Empire.'
With the 'Empire' news out, it looks like Mariah Carey will be very busy in the next few weeks to come. After finally having her own gold star on the Walk of Fame, fans of the singer and the TV series have a lot more to look forward to in the upcoming weeks and months ahead.
