The Elder Scrolls VI Rumored Release Date Said to Be Unlikely According to Developers; Bethesda Debunks Other Speculations

Bethesda, the developer of the infamous The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, is held utterly responsible for making another game to continue the legacy of the series. However, with years the years that passed, The Elder Scrolls franchise seems to be falling behind with the emergence of other RPGs around. The game developers look to answer the queries that has befallen their desks.

With no word about Bethesda's continuation of The Elder Scrolls VI, fans have only held on to speculation and rumors. The company has stayed quiet all throughout the months, to the point that the game was not present during the E3 2015 event.

According to Christian Today, Bethesda's Vice President of Marketing, Pete Hines, clarified more on the suspicion that was circulating the company's franchise. He was quoted, "It's rare to have franchises like the ones we have and to have people joking about 'when is Skyrim 2 coming out?

The reason they say that is because generally speaking that's what you'd be getting with another publisher in charge. They'd be spitting out a Skyrim 2 the year after or two years later. That's just not how we view it. We're not the sort of publisher that focuses on 'what's our 25 titles for 2015'."

Mr. Hines further explained that they prefer to develop a game at a time with great quality. This basically states that the developers look to make one successful installment first before attempting another one as to make the long wait worthwhile. It can also be a reference to the question of whether the company will be making Skyrim 2 anytime soon, as reported by Master Herald.

Many other details have been turned down by Bethesda as of the moment, including the debunked Morrowind topic as earlier speculated upon and recently reported by Crossmap. The details on The Elder Scrolls VI release is very blurry as of the moment, and many fans can only expect the collectible card video game franchise by the end of the year for iOS hardware and PC, entitled The Elder Scrolls: Legends."

The Elder Scrolls VI is rumored to make an appearance at the E3 2016 event next year, without any definite date yet as to when the game will be released.
