Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards Splits: Perrie left devastated as Zayn calls of engangement through text

The ex One Direction star Zayn Malik and Little Mix star Perrie Edwards have officially broken off their engagement of 2 years. Singer Zayn Malik proposed to Perrie in August 2013, however out of the blue he dumped his fiancée through a single text message!

According to a report from Hollywood Life, Zayn, 22 dumped his long term fiancée Perrie also 22 with a single text message. Apparently it was around two weeks ago that out of the blue Perrie got a text from Zayn saying he wanted to break off the engagement, and break up with her.

Perrie was absolutely surprised with Zayn's decision, and was left devastated according to People. The report also states that Perrie has been putting on a strong face since the break up and is taking each day as it comes. Perrie's band mates from Little Mix have been supporting her in her time off need, and have been helping her keep strong as they have been busy with Little Mix promotions.

In a report from the Daily Mail, both Perrie Edwards and Zayn Malik have broken the silence since the break up was first reported. Perrie was recently interviewed on E! and was asked how she was coping with the break up; the singer simply stated "I'm good, thank you," however her response seemed emotional and band mate Leigh-Anne stepped in saying "We don't really want to talk about it."

Zayn has been active on his Twitter account but hasn't mentioned anything regarding the break up apart from posting a picture of a lotus flower resting on the keys of a piano a few hours after the news was confirmed. Zayn made no further comment on the picture.

With the relationship and engagement between Perrie Edwards and Zayn Malik officially over, Perrie has been spotted without her diamond engagement ring. Although Perrie has been putting on a brave face, one can see that she is hurting. Zayn Malik has yet to comment on the break up, and Perrie Edwards is saying as little as possible.
