The upcoming Project CARS 2 developer's airplane race title is officially called 'Red Bull Air Race' as recently announced by Slightly Mad Studios. A gameplay trailer running 1080p/60fps has also been released to provide the fans a sneak peak on what to watch out for in this new game.
According to GameSpot, Slightly Mad Studios has just confirmed that Project CARS 2 dev will be releasing a new airplane racing game telling fans to "put away your tray tables".
In the new title, the studio will be developing a one of a kind and unbelievably perilous airplane racing sport which will reportedly feature 14 pilots in acrobatic planes on a predetermined track marked by massive pylons. Since it's a timed trial, racers must go as fast as they can to go through the track and must not be penalized for missing checkpoints or doing wrong maneuvers.
Moreover, Slightly Mad partners with Wing Racers Sports Games GmbH in the development of Red Bull Air Race. What's more is that it will be the first plane racing sim to be playable on PC.

Based on the sneak peek at the gameplay, it looks like 'Red Bull Air Race' will be getting similar graphical fidelity seen in the original title. Additionally, the footage first showed a car that appears the same to that in Project Cars.
As reported earlier, the studio is in the process of crowdfunding the upcoming sequel to the game series where contribution coming from fans is faciliated via the World of Mass Development crowd-funding platform, Asia PC Mag noted. In late June, Project CARS 2 has been able to reach almost $500,000 and the the goal is over $11 million.
The developer launched the original title back in May for current gen consoles and PC hardware. Once again, the next game is doing another campaign saying, "allow gamers around the world to help shape and develop an AAA racing title."
'Red Bull Air Race' is anticipated to be available by year 2016. While details are scant at this point, Slightly Mad Studios stated that the gaming community will be getting more information very soon.
