Fresh from the labs, LG's G4 smartphone is now seen with a bunch of bugs and errors reported by users which some Android fanatics believe that can be solved by Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update. Is Android 5.1.1 Lollipop coming really soon to LG G4?
Running on the Android 5.1 operating system, LG G4 is plagued with some problems and threats users have experienced. In a discussion forum updated last August 7, forum member Sswitzer sorted out error reports on touchscreen, photo, scrolls, access lock, music, keyboard, charging, battery, and Wi-Fi, among others.
Top commenters see it necessary for LG and mobile carriers to update the South Korean tech giant's flagship smartphone with 5.1.1 to keep up with the other brands in the tech department. However, Sswitzer informed that there is no "great solutions" as of now but mused by a good news.
"There have been some owners writing about vibrations and flashing notification lights," he wrote.
Seen in Samsung Galaxy S6's changelog, the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update brings in alphabetical sorting within the apps menu possible, alarm clock shows the remaining time until wake up, S Finder and Quick Connect can be removed from status bar, and optimization of battery by automatically terminating apps.
With these changes, LG G4's reported problems could possibly be solved.
Some reported bugs and problems enlisted include the following:
1. Automatic photo rotation
2. Editing photos save error
3. Photo editor crashing
4. Non-responsive or delayed screen taps
5. Scrolls registered as taps
6. Auto-brightness
7. Changing volume key shortcuts
8. Optimizing battery performance
9. "Access Lock" settings
10. "Debloater tool"
11. Music equalizer
12. Google Play services
13. Connecting to a Mac via USB
14. Keyboard lag
15. Launcher stuttering
16. Routers of Wi-Fi
17. Heat
18. Charging and charging notification
Previous reports told that LG has no plans of updating the G4 device to 5.1.1 but instead head straight to Android M this fall.
However, some reliable sources say that android 5.1.1 Lollipop will experience good days with G4 along with its predecessors G3 and G2.
