The Chinese tipster @KJuma has recently posted a leaked image of purported Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 with a photograph of the box and the latest reports reveal that the device will be priced around $177 USD.
According to Gizmochina, the leaked image suggests that the latest Redmi Note 2 design appears similar to the current Redmi Note model. Another report from the Phone Arena said that the latest Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 handset has already been certified in China by TENAA.
Two variants of this handset will supposedly be released by the Company. One will be equipped with a Snapdragon 615 SoC while the other variant was said to be equipped with the MediaTek MT6795 chipset.
The site also reports that the Mediatek MT6795 octa-core chip which was stated to be included in the new Redmi Note 2 is said to be frequently utilized by high-end flagships. The device measures 8.05mm in thickness and weighs approximately 159 grams.
As more of its specifications, the Redmi Note 2 was speculated to come with a 5.5-inch 1080 x 1920 display, 16GB on-board storage, 2GB RAM, and an expandable memory slot. The device will reportedly sport a 13-megapixel back snapper and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, first post wrote.
The Gizmochina also reports that the upcoming Redmi Note 2 is expected to come equipped with a 3100mAh battery. In addition, it will allegedly run on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop version. The specifications mentioned above have been suggested to become much better than the existing Redmi Note version.
On August 13, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 is expected to be announced. Other reports say that this date will also be the day where Xiaomi's MIUI 7 UI will purportedly be unveiled as well as the Samsung's Unpacked event to be happening.
The latest rumors speculate the forthcoming Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 that it can be purchased at the price tag of $177 contradicting the $127 that was previously reported.
