Despite his busy schedule as a Hollywood actor and his stints on theatre, Bradley Cooper still finds time to be involved in CBS's upcoming series "Limitless." Cooper has reportedly contributed in writing the script of the small-screen remake of the 2011 film.
Cooper will reprise his role as Eddie Morra, now running as a presidential candidate in the TV adaptation. He will pay Jake McDorman's Brian Finch, the main lead of the series, a visit and help him come to terms with the dangerous power of NZT-48.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Cooper is very much involved in "Limitless" as executive producer Alex Kurtzman revealed that the Oscar-nominated actor received every script and had a huge part in writing Brian's story.
"We always liked the idea [that Brian] has to save somebody in the pilot and make this deal with the devil," Kurtzman said.
He added, "Originally it was a girlfriend, and Bradley said it's a really interesting idea but it's not as emotional as saving a father. And that was a big turn. He was very involved in real, critical DNA of the show."
Business Insider wrote that Bradley Cooper just wrapped his broadway stint for "The Elephant Man" in London last weekend but still managed to help long-distance with major plot points and tone, revealed Kurtzman and co-executive producer Craig Sweeny.
Jake McDorman also expressed his gratitude towards Cooper for his availability despite a very busy schedule. He revealed that it was Cooper who really talked him into the show during an event for their film "American Sniper," Deadline reported.
"His enthusiasm was contagious," Dorman said. "I met him at one of those events, and he came right over and kind of sold the show, we sort of nerded out about expanding the universe of the movie."
"Limitless" will star Jake McDorman as the lead with Bradley Cooper recurring sporadically. The small screen adaptation of the 2011 film, which Cooper starred in will premiere on September 22 on CBS.
