'Grimm' Season 5 will undeniably focus on Nick and the aftermath of the death of his mother and his girlfriend. As the revenge is up, friends and his upcoming baby might distract him to implement his plans. In fact, Monroe is going to help Nick in the upcoming season. It is said that Monroe will boost the hero's morale. And although they have a baby with Adalind, actor David Giuntoli stated that she is only the mom of his son and nothing more.
Last season of 'Grimm' left Detective Nick Burkhardt in great sorrow when his enemies killed both his mother and his girlfriend. Nick is planning for his vengeance in Season 5. In fact, 'Grimm' season 5 will be much darker and grimmer. The shocking loss of both his loved ones have left Nick in a very dark place, which might prompt him to leave his career in law enforcement, according to Enumerical News.
"I would definitely say I don't really care about being a cop anymore," the 'Grimm' actor David Giuntoli revealed to Showbiz Junkies. "I'm just like, I'm doing my own 'Grimm' thing."
But his plans might be prevented, as Adalind Schade's having his baby. Previous reports speculate that the baby might distract him to do his plans in 'Grimm' season 5. Aside from his baby, his friends will also try their best to comfort the vengeful Nick. Latest spoilers reveal that Monroe will be joining again the detective and help the hero boost his morale.
"I think it'll re-up the Nick and Monroe relationship. I think they realized that the fans really enjoy that so they want to bring it back. I've seen evidence of that. Trubel is who I'm concerned about right now. Something bad happens to her right away," revealed Giuntoli.
Still, the actor revealed that nothing could change Nick's mind next season for revenge "I would say the dynamics have certainly changed. Now Adalind's having my baby. What?! So that's changing the dynamics quite a bit. But I want to figure out who did all of these things to me. They beheaded my mom, they killed my woman, and I want to get whoever did that."
As for the possibility of a relationship between Nick and Adalind, Giuntoli revealed, "I'm getting feelers that that might in some way happen. Now, I would play probably very against that. I feel like she's the mom of my son, not my lady, you know? So there are some scenes where they're like, 'How are we going to do this?' kind of scenes."
