Highly agitated fans of the GTA V franchise have spoken out an issue that was deemed unreasonable care of Rockstar Games. With the seemingly shallow reason of a game mod gone wrong, Rockstar Games may have turned off fans for good with their recently committed actions.
As recently reported by Dark Side of Gaming, Rockstar Games did not hold back on the prohibition of players who use the specific mod in Grand Theft Auto V known as FiveM. Definitively, FiveM is a feature that permits players to bask on dedicated servers around a somewhat advanced multiplayer orientation, along with game modes created by the users.
This was taken as an unwelcomed Grand Theft Auto Online mod by Rockstar, and in the attempt to sort out the issue, Rockstar has indefinitely banned the players who are in any form acquainted with the said mod, regardless of whether they are or are not part of the formulation.
According to Reddit, an explanation was currently dished out by Qais Patankar, saying, "I am not a developer of FiveM, I am just the mere moderator of the subreddit, but yes, I have some sort of affiliation with the mod. I was skeptical that we were banned for being contributors (in some way) to the FiveM project."
Moreover, Patankar added that two of their involved community members have been banned, despite the consistency of not breaking the Terms of Service or the EULA of Rockstar Games. Making things worse for the gamers, the said members who were banned will also be unable to play any of the games within the Social Club, such as Max Payne 3.
As delivered by Silicon Angle, the disappointing fact that fans are banned from games other than the Grand Theft Auto V which was declared improper, certainly is an unthoughtful move for Rockstar Games. Without breaking any of the game's EULA, the access to games other than GTA V should be considered valid and unceasing, in oppose to the decision made by the developers.
No further comments have been released by Rockstar Games regarding the matter. Stay posted for more information regarding any and all changes in this Grand Theft Auto V predicament.
