It is a dream come true for fans of Matt Ryan's "Constantine" to see the actor on air once again as the exorcist and supernatural expert. But to see him alongside Oliver Queen for a single episode on "Arrow" season 4 was something that calls for celebration
Exciting things await the fans of the CW superhero series as Matt Ryan's inclusion was confirmed just recently. He will reprise his role as Constantine in Stephen Amell's show for a special and important mission.
According to Variety, Ryan announced the news himself via Twitter by posting a video message where he said, "The rumors are true, John is coming to Star City."
Variety also reported that the famous exorcist will appear on "Arrow" season 4 episode 5 titled, "Haunted" to pave the way for the resurrection of Sara Lance, played by Caity Lotz.
Executive producer and co-showrunner Wendy Mericle explained that the resurrection must happen since Sara Lance will also appear in the "Arrow" and "The Flash" spinoff, "DC's Legends of Tomorrow."
"We knew Sara was coming back and we wanted to have her soul... she needed to be resurrected, and even in the world of the comic books, he's the guy to do it. We weren't sure it was all going to work out," said Mericle.
MORE FLASHBACKS
Co-showrunner Marc Guggenheim said that they are planning to tell "really amazing story in the past" in the upcoming season, TVLine reported. It will involve flashbacks to Oliver's past, which will kick off in Coast City and then to a destination that no one really knows where. But Guggeinheim admits that he feels that it is "Arrow"'s "best flashback story ever."
NEW LOVE INTEREST
Elysia Rotaru is the newest addition to the hit CW series to star as Oliver's new love interest, Entertainment Weekly wrote. Fans of Olicity however, need not to worry as the "iZombie" star won't be breaking the pairing apart but will appear during the said flashbacks in the upcoming season.
"Arrow" season 4 will return with Matt Ryan as he reprise his role as "Constantine" and with more flashbacks that will see Oliver's past romance. The hit series will premiere on October 7 on CW.
