The cast and crew have promised fans of an explosive 'Supernatural' season 11. While the Winchester boys reunion are expected, Cas and Dean will get back together and together find an answer to the mistake they made before. Meanwhile, the network is still interested in doing another spin-off after the noble attempt they made previously.
Lots of spoilers and information were out during the San Diego Comic Con about the upcoming season of 'Supernatural'. In fact, the show's cast members and crew were not too shy to give fans something to look forward to, as noted by Movie News Guide.
In an interview with Comic Book Resource, actor Jared Padalecki revealed that 'Supernatural' season 11 will see the reunion of Sam and Dean. Multiple cliffhangers were left in the last season with Darkness still on the loose. Thus, it will be pretty exciting to see the Winchester boys reunited.
Padalecki said, "One of the things I'm most excited about personally is that the brothers are brothers again. We've had so many years of Benny or Ruby or soulless or Mark of Cain or something where these boys have had reasons to be apart. Even though they don't know what the Darkness is, it's pre-biblical. It predates God and Castiel and Crowley. They are completely out of their world, but they are there together. That's super-cool for me."
Aside from the brother's reunion, Cas and Dean will be back together again to fight against their ultimate enemy. Previously, the two experienced a fractured relationship. But 'Supernatural' season 11 will see how they will cast aside their differences and try to clean up the mistakes they made.
Misha Collins stated, "I think we are going to see them put their differences aside and unite against that common enemy. They are aware the presence of the Darkness is actually their fault and they have to clean up the mess they made."
Meanwhile, CW programming head Mark Pedowitz, during the TCA Summer Press Tour, has shared his thoughts about the possibility of another spin-off. According to CarterMatt, Pedowitz revealed that the network is still very much interested in expanding the show with another spin-off. It may not happen this year, but in the future. It can be remembered that the show had already made one during season 9. However, that did not work out.
