The Exes, a multi-camera sitcom TV series has been cancelled after airing four seasons. The show has been nominated for Emmy Awards but unfortunately, The Exes show is officially cancelled on TV Land due to the network's changes in programming format.

TV Land breaks its silence as it reveals the reason behind the Exes show's cancellation. The TV Land network will make some major alterations on their brand. Multi-camera shows, the likes of the Exes sitcom are not allowed to air on TV Land anymore. The network's new location will be more intense and from now on, single-cameras will be exclusively used on set. The creator of the show, Mark Reisman and executive producers Franco Bario, Michael Hanel, and Mindy Schulteis, are totally disheartened with the show's cancellation.

The comedy show did not violate any network rules but some changes will be done to the network as a whole which resulted in the show's cancellation. Asides from The Exes, TV series like "Hot In Cleveland" and "The Soul Man" will be officially cancelled on TV Land too, as Variety stated.

Moreover Movie News Guide mentioned that The Exes comedy show received bad ratings from Rotten Tomatoes despite having a professional cast and crew, The Exes lacks new ideas and elements to the formula of modern comedy series, the review site further elaborates.

On the contrary, the final six episodes is set to air this coming Wednesday, and it is the very last episode to air on TV Land. As mentioned on Deadline, Kristen Johnston tweeted that the last six episodes are the best of the season so far. This only means that The Exes show will completely be gone.

The Exes season finale is set to air in September 16 only on TV land. Fans and viewers alike are totally disheartened for the comedy show's cancellation. TV land on the other hand moves on to a new format for the whole network.
