'Wayward Pines' Update: Season 2 Remains Unknown If It's Possible, Executive Producer Affirms Season 1 Is The End

By

"Wayward Pines" Season 1 had a great run and the ten episodes of the show has garnered a lot of fans. A lot are expecting to see more of the FOX series, however, there have been no announcements yet if there will be a Season 2 for the show.

"Wayward Pines" executive producer Chad Hodge has commented on the matter as he was firm with his statement that Season 1 is already the end of the series and that fans should no longer expect another season of the show, Christian Post reported.

Hodge said in an interview as per the season 1 finale, "It was not meant to tease a season 2 ... Just as Ethan woke up in episode one and found himself in this strange town of Wayward Pines in a hospital bed with a nurse standing above him, and then he walks up Main St. to find this strangely odd town and people staring at him, it's actually partly shot-for-shot exactly what we did in the first episode as Ben comes up Main St. and sees people staring at him," iSchoolGuide shared.

Despite Hodge's statement, "Wayward Pines" Season 2 is still expected to happen as previously reported. During the recent TV Critics Association Summer Press Tour that was held in Beverly Hills, FOX's Sana Walden shared that M. Night Shyamalan and the author of the book series, Blake Crouch, have been talking about the second season of the show. Walden shared that there might be another miniseries if the author can write more about the future events of the show.

"Wayward Pines" is a show about the character named Matt Dillion who searches for two missing federal agents and ends up in the area.
