While the Android M jump-off is too loud these days for HTC One M9 and One M8, many users and Android fanatics still believe that both devices will still have a glimpse of the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update in the days to come before heading to Google's upcoming Android M.
Android 5.1.1 Lollipop is reported arriving to One M9 and One M8 smartphones before August ends but HTC's advanced user interface Sense 7 will not be coming over that early since the Taiwanese tech firm has already announced via Twitter earlier this week that it will be tied up with Android M.
HTC Vice President for Product Management Mo Versi has revealed that the brand is releasing Sense 7 when Android M launches.
What is not certain as of now is when Android M is releasing. Reports tell that Google's upcoming Android update is coming to smartphones and tablet this fall. Android 5.1 Lollipop meanwhile will no longer be hitting One M8 Google Play Edition units.
While currently running the Android 5.1 Lollipop, One M9 Developer Edition will start updating with 5.1.1 Lollipop across the European region, Middle East, and Africa before the month ends. This was confirmed by EMEA's product and service director Graham Wheeler via Twitter earlier this week.
HTC is reported struggling in its sales performance as there is a tough competition in the tech industry led by Apple and Samsung followed by Sony and LG. HTC alongside Motorola are having great barriers to overcome.
For some Android fanatics, the ironed Android M jump-off of HTC is seen as a recovery tactic to keep up with the topnotch competitors in sales.
In another news report, Android M is expected to come out available in public after Google will announce this year's flagship smartphone Nexus 5 2015 version. Major mobile carriers in the US except for Verizon Wireless have first update their One M9 devices with 5.1 Lollipop.
As expected, AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint also will pioneer the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and Android M update.
