Jay Leno thinks Jimmy Kimmel's 'Mean Streak' is the reason for his low ratings, Says he’s saving Donald Trump jokes

The veteran stand- up comedian Jay Leno criticized Jimmy Kimmel's show "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" and the title host because of his alleged "mean streak". He even pointed out that Kimmel's mean- based words caused his show to have low ratings.

Jay Leno was promoting his brand new show called "Jay Leno's Garage". The former "Tonight Show" talked about the drastic change of his late- night television and revealed why he thinks some shows do better than the others.

Leno had nothing but nice words about fellow hosts Seth Meyers, Jimmy Fallon and Stephen Colbert. However, when it comes to Jimmy Kimmel, "The Jay Leno's Garage" host couldn't hold back his criticisms.

Kimmel and Leno publicly opened about their rivalry over the years. You might even say Kimmel was persistent of his roasting of Leno, so the feud didn't really surprised the viewers of each show.

Leno continuously slammed the host because of his "mean streak", according to E! News. He even stated, "The most element you can have in doing a late night show is kindness. Because the show makes you arrogant," Leno explained.

"I think that's Jimmy Kimmel's problem. I think he's a talented guy, I think he's funny. But he has a mean streak, and it comes across."

Leno said some of Kimmel's words are just so mean- based. The veteran stand- up comic continued by saying, "He does this thing where he takes Halloween candy from kids and the kids cry. What am I missing here? It is funny I guess, but it's mean-based." And that's basically why he thinks that Kimmel's show has low ratings, as mentioned in Huffpost Entertainment.

The future CNBC show host also revealed that he's been saving his Donald Trump jokes. Leno also mentioned that he's ready to unleash his comic stories about the presidential candidate in an appearance on Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show.

The veteran talk show host was on stage at the Television Critics Association press tour. To the crowd's surprise, Leno gave them some points of view of his jokes for the politician as reported by Journal Focus.

"Well, I mean it's interesting watching this whole thing unfold. I think (Trump) and Jeb Bush are the front- runners," he explained. "And it's kind of like the race between the tortoise and the bad hare...there's few jokes there." Leno also wryly joked that Trump's "head is up his ass."

The two late- night comic hosts might be heating up their feuds and the online world is feasting on their arguments. Sure enough these hosts will always do their own ways to produce a stand- up comedy worth watching for.

Jay Leno ultimately spilled out bold statements about his fellow late- night host Jimmy Kimmel. But the latter's audience is quite sure Kimmel won't take it as if it is just a joke about Donal Trump.
