Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump continuously defends his comments against Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly. Trump, is currenylt under fire after his sexists comments towards the anchor. Critics said that he was referring to her menstruation and hormonal imbalance.
He stated on CNN in a Sunday interview, "Do you think I'd make a statement like that? Who would make a statement like that?" Trump was referring to what he had earlier told CNN.
The presidential front- runner commented towards the female moderator of the first GOP debate, said he did not cross a line and that he has a great relationship with women.
He, then, responded, "Honestly, Megan, if you don't like it, I'm sorry. I've been very nice to you, although I could probably not be based on the way you've treated me."
On the Thursday night debate, Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly asked Trump why he had called some women "fat pigs, dogs, slobs and disgusting animals." Trump replied, saying, "Only Rosie O'Donnell," before turning his fire on Kelly and political correctness.
As with most things Trump, that was not it. Appearing on CNN on Friday, after a day of Twitter rants about Kelly and of being the debate's target, he said of Kelly, "You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her whatever."
Trump decided to defend himself on Twitter by saying, "I wanted to get on with the interview so I stopped, rather than say nose or ears, because that's very common coming from eyes, nose, ears. These are very common. And what it means is that a person is angry. Kelly was very angry," Trump explained.
The comments made about Kelly made Erick Erickson to disinvite Trump to a gathering hosted by the group in Atlanta this weekend, a decision his movement said was prepared by a "total loser", according to the Red State.
His explanations provoke the social media. Carly Fiorina took to Twitter about Trump's comments, saying, "Mr. Trump: There. Is. No. Excuse" and, "I stand with @megynkelly." Jeb Bush also made a comment on his Twitter account, stating, "Do we want to insult 53% of Americans? What Donald Trump said was wrong. That's not how we bring people together."
In a statement on Saturday, the Trump movement repeated his justification over the issue and claimed, "Mr. Trump made Megyn Kelly look really bad - she was a mess with her anger and totally caught off guard."
Though many had shown support to Kelly, she has not spoken publicly about Trump's comment.
Many of his critics think that his comments are inappropriate and unfortunately everything boiled down to the destruction of his relationship with the female gender.
