"Person of Interest's" Sarah Shahi will reportedly be coming back in the show's upcoming season but there have been no available details about her character's return. This report has surfaced amid speculations that the show will be ending after the upcoming season is finished.
According to a report by Zap2it, Shahi was interviewed during the 2015 TV Critics Association summer press tour and she talked about her character returning for the majority of the season. Shaw, her character, will be there from the show's first episodes until the end. Shahi shared, "I always felt like we weren't done with Shaw. It would have been incorrect on so many levels to end the way we ended. She had a lot of story still left in her."
Shahi revealed that the showrunners of "Person of Interest," Greg Plageman and Jonathan Nolan, agreed to put her back in the show but she honestly shared what they are planning for her major comeback. She added that she hopes she will talk with them soon and figure out what Shaw will be doing and why she will be coming back, Cinema Blend shared.
Plageman said in a statement that the comeback of Shahi will be big and monstrous and she might be seen around the third episode of the show. However, he did not give away other details and teased that he and the team still have a lot of time to work with the plot of the upcoming season and the character of Shahi as they still have not confirmed a release date for season 5, Christian Post reported.
Shahi left "Person of Interest" due to personal matters as she gave birth to her twins. However, her babies are now five months old and she feels it's time to get back into the small screen. Shaw's exit from the show was her being captured by a Samaritan and Shahi feels that her character would have changed after being away for a long time. She teased that her character cannot be the same Shaw and is excited to play that role.
It remains to be unknown if "Person of Interest" Season 5 will premiere late this 2015 or early 2016.
