Apple is expected to dominate the market upon the release of their iPhone 6s in October but tech experts claim otherwise and said that the about to be released phablet will be a flop.
The looming iPhone 6s is deemed to break records due to its improvements. However, tech experts, before its official release, are starting to doubt the commercial outcome of the device.
A prominent securities analyst, as quoted from Phone Arena's published article, said that the formal release of the iPhone 6s will not render into a year on year growth and it might shrink the company's iPhone sales this year compared to 2014.
The analyst's predictions were very bold and contrasting at the same time considering how Apple performed in the past years. But, the report pointed out a very good angle why the firm released such bold statements.
First, China's smartphone sales have been declining recently due to the country's economy. China is also a big reason why iPhone 6 was a big hit. Second, regardless of how Apple project it's Force Touch Technology on the phone, the analyst believes that it won't be enough to get the people to buy into it.
With regard to the numbers, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus sold a total of 74.5 million units during the December quarter of 2014, which BGR pointed out that a number that is difficult to overcome.
The website also questioned the Force Touch Technology's influence to the potential buyers considering that the approaching iPhone 6s is basically not different with its older brother, except the Force Touch Technology and processor.
The Week mirrored the two reports and also pointed out that Force Touch Technology is not enough to draw buyers to buy the phablet. However, they are quick to say that this is not Apple's firs time to be predicted to flop considering the predictions that were set before which Apple proved the otherwise.
These are all bold statements from the experts to say that the looming iPhone 6s will be a disappointment and the Force Touch Technology will not do the trick. But who knows, Apple has been in the same situation and emerged victorious every time.
