'Fargo' Season 2 premieres October 12 on FX Canada with all new cast and story. Creator and writer Noah Hawley turned out one of the best dramas on television for 2014, finding that delicate balance of whimsy, violence and tragedy that made the first Coen Brothers movie unique. Season 2 will have a bigger story. One of which is the story of Ronald Reagan helped Amrica change, whether good or bad.
The FX series, 'Fargo', was created by writer and executive producer Noah Hawley to serve as an anthology inspired by the film of Coen brothers. Season 1 captured the feel and dark comedic tone of its source material and received a lot of compliments.
The new installment will have a bigger story than the previous one. And many viewers are already expecting a lot for this show. FX Canada previously revealed that 'Fargo' season 2 will feature murders, violence and tragedy in locations of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Luverne, Minnesota during 1979.
The second season will also see Bruce Campbell playing Ronald Reagan on 'Fargo' Season 2. And the creator has teased something about his role.
"No one knew it at the time, but Ronald Reagan changed America. Whether you think it's good or bad, in 1979 there was this huge change still to come and I found that interesting," Hawley told The Star.
"On some level our heroes are trying to get back to a simpler America; a more decent America. Which fell into line that he was an actor and that was funny, and we could play around with that. It felt like a great way to mix the farcical with more serious subjects."
It was also learned that this is the first time that 'Fargo' is including mobsters. Movie Pilot notes that the show never included mobsters as primary agents. While this could be new, there is nothing to worry about as the sneak peaks suggest.
'Fargo' season 2 storyline will also follow on Kirsten Dunst's character, Peggy Blomquist, who is revealed to want much more in life. Their story is about a war between rival criminal enterprises.
