"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" just might be better than the "Harry Potter" movie series having genius wordsmith J.K. Rowling as the screenplay writer and a star-studded cast members.

Warner Bros "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is a highly anticipated film to Harry Potter fandom. Author J.K. Rowling who wrote all seven "Harry Potter" books is writing the script. "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" will mark the renowned author's screenwriting debut fans can surely expect the same magic she wove in her books and onto the big screen.

However, unlike the "Harry Potter" movie series which casted Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, and the rest of the young cast of "Harry Potter" who were all newbies in the acting field, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" will be using award-winning actors.

Academy Award winning actor Eddie Redmayne was the first to be revealed as the lead for the film, taking on the magizoologist himself, Newt Scamander. Jenn Murray and Ezra Miller were also recently announced as new additions for the film. Murray has booked a key role following a supporting turn in Fox Searchlight's upcoming awards contender "Brooklyn." She will reportedly share scenes with Miller's character, who's a rival of sorts to Newt Scamander.

British-born actor Katherine Waterston, best known for Inherent Vice and Boardwalk Empire, has signed on to portray Porpentina, while alternative singer-songwriter Alison Sudol is reportedly playing the witch's sister, Queenie. Colin Farrell will be playing the role of Graves, one of the wizard whom Newton Scamander meets in New York.

The storyline of "Fantastic Beasts" movie is set 70 years before Harry Potter came. It is going to be a trilogy and is neither prequel nor a sequel to "Harry Potter" series. "Fantastic Beasts" movie should be considered as an extension to the wizardly world in which Harry Potter will be entering in the future. The "Fantastic Beasts" plot does not have Harry Potter, Ron Weasley or Hermione Granger.

Directed by David Yates, "Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them" is being produced by David Heyman, Rowling, Steve Kloves and Lionel Wigram. Warner Bros. will release "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" in 3D and IMAX on Nov. 18, 2016.
