Square Enix' Naoki Yoshida has just revealed the latest and exciting details on two patches, 3.07 and 3.1 for Final Fantasy 14 Heavensward slated to be released soon. This news has been officially announced via 14-hour live broadcast in celebration of the game's 2nd anniversary.
According to Game Revolution, fans of Final Fantasy Heavensward can look forward to upcoming release of patch 3.07 and the hefty-sized patch 3.1 offering a plethora of new features, content, and adjustments.
Here's a partial list of the major add-ons from the new update as shown during the live stream:
- New Dungeons: St Mocianne Arboretum and Pharos Sirius (Hard).
- New Raid: Void Ark (seen in the art above).
- New Gold Saucer Mini-Game: Lord of Verminion, a PvP system for minions with an RTS style of gameplay.
- New Housing Options: House sharing and interior lighting adjustment.
- TP bar for party interface.
- Level 50 dungeons will reward experience.
- Airship Exploration system.
- Some existing mounts will be given a flying mount option.
- Try on multiple gear items at the same time.
- Relic weapon quests.
- Favor adjustments including effect duration.
- Additional Triple Triad cards and opponents.
- Gold Saucer Challenge Log.
- Multiple-slot items can now be glamoured.
- Option to rename Free Company.
Moreover, job adjustments will also be included in patch 3.07 where the confirmed changes are follows:
- Astrologian: Synastry and Collective Unconscious adjustments. Card duration increase. Heal potency increase.
- Dark Knight: Blood Weapon TP reduction.
- Machinist: Quick Reload recast reduction.
- Monk: Greased Lightning duration and potency increase.
What's more is that fan requested European data center will also go live in mid-October that will improve ping for players across the region. On the other hand, the Final Fantasy Heavensward first major update, Patch 3.1, will roll out in October and is expected to be detailed later during the live stream.
Meanwhile, Square Enix has also brought in another big news and announced that the Final Fantasy MMO has reached more than 5 million registered accounts worldwide not including those who avail of the free trial. VG247 notes that it's a whopping 1 million increase from February.
One major factor which could be attributed to the impressive jump is due to the fact that the MMO is made available on multiple platforms and makes use of the Remote Play feature for Vita users.
Final Fantasy 14: Heavensward is the latest expansion for the game and is about to receive both patch 3.07 and the much bigger patch 3.1 updates soon. The game is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC with a free 30-day trial for new accounts with monthly subscription costing £7.69, the least.
