To ensure the momentum of hype around the franchise, the developers have taken the liberty of making patches, updates and downloadable content for it, hopefully for the long run.
Made available for the PlayStation 4 and PC, developer Psyonix has certainly hit a gold mine with their latest masterpiece known as Rocket League, which started late last month. As reported by Kotaku, the game has been growing strongly since the early going, and upcoming DLC's are one of the few factors of the game that definitely will make it more interesting, more than it already is.
As reported by Gamespresso, the seemingly impossible feats of Psyonix's Rocket League are some that the fans should start getting used to, especially with the new upcoming downloadable content. A new map named Utopia Coliseum is partaking the patch of the newly updated version 1.04 of the game. Comparatively, the new map is still held under the identical lay outs as the other maps, making it so that it is played the same way.
President of Psyonix, Dave Hagewood was quoted, "The Company is aware that the majority of players aren't super competitive, they just want to have a good time - and we have a great time with the crazy different maps and so on. So we already have some of those in production to roll out later on." Recently delivered by Digital Trends, this is a good way to orient the players of the game's feel before taking on the more advanced maps or stages, bound to come later on in the future.
Apart from the map itself, the patch has brought about some anticipated factors that were asked of the developers. One of which is the voting ability of players to forfeit matches, if using the Ranked online mode. With that, a spectator mode was also confirmed to be added to the game itself.
The new Rocket League Supersonic Fury DLC has been considered a great and necessary edition to the game. With its availability, more tempting features have been noted and is sure to put the game on the map.
