The upcoming four-player co-op RPG "Scalebound" takes advantage of Xbox One and its full blown hardware capacity. The latest Platinum game is set to launch in late 2016.
Xbox One exclusivity definitely has its own perks. According to Game Spot, developer Platinum Games revealed that "Scalebound" will showcase the extent of Xbox One's hardware to meet both the players' and publishers' expections alike. The company has worked with previous combat-based successes such as "Bayonetta," "Vanquish," and "Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance." Now diving into the RPG world, Director Hideki Kamiya hopes that the console exclusivity will "heighten the value" of the game.
"So in terms of, say, 'Scalebound,' which is an exclusive title for Xbox One, my ultimate goal and mission is that this will help appeal to, and also heighten the value, of not just my game but also the console, and show the power of what Xbox One can di latest s to," Kamiya told Metro in a recent interview.
In addition, Platinum Games' director assured avid gamers to get the best quality their consumers deserve. "Towards the players, my commitment and my promise to them is that you're buying a game that we created and you're paying for it," he added. "I need to make sure that you get the value, and hopefully even more, for the amount that you've paid. So I think that very simply fact is what keeps us going, because our partners see the commitment that we put into the games that we're making."
Meanwhile, release dates for "Scalebound" still remain a mystery. Aside from the big announcement and its first-ever trailer release, Platinum Games did not unveil further details about the game during the Microsoft Press Conference at the Gamescom 2015. However, there are some circling rumors that a late September launch might take place, PC Advisor reported. The site also mentioned that gamers who can't wait to get their hands on the game can now pre-order at Amazon for £42.85 (approximately $67).
"Scalebound" is the latest RPG from Platinum Games. It is expected to launch in 2016 but fans can now pre-order the game via Amazon.
