Former One Directioner Zayn Malik and celebrity DJ Calvin Harris just recently exchanged harsh words on Twitter this Monday. Twitter decided to declare the new solo artist as the winner of the feud. Meanwhile, One Direction member and Malik's pal Louis Tomlinson dissed his former bandmate and favorited Harris' tweet.
The former One Direction member Zayn Malik has found himself involved in another feud. According to The Daily Beast, the clash between the new solo artist and the Scottish DJ Calvin Harris took place when Harris appeared to take offense to an internet meme Malik retweeted. Malik compared his girlfriend Taylor Swift to Miley Cyrus which offended the DJ/ producer.
Malik's retweet made Harris somewhat furious when it popped up in his feed. He spoke out on his girlfriend's behalf, tagging Malik directlywhile praising Swift for standing up about her feuds. He took to Twitter, saying, "You've made your money? Cool...fuck the 99% of musicians who depend on these services to survive right? Yeah fuck em."
Harris followed up his tweet, stating, "If u don't get what it means when a successful artist uses their celebrity to benefit every other musician and songwriter in the industry..." He even warned Malik to stay out of his mention.
However, Harris' tweets didn't sit well with Malik. "ha you just made an absolute fool of yourself mate... you clearly didn't understand what I just said either," Malik tweeted to Harris. He even wryly joked about Harris' dentures falling off.
The 22-year old singer dropped his reply on the 31-year old DJ that made him win the Twitter beef. He wrote, "... so i suggest you calm your knickers before them dentures fall out." He even called Swift's DJ slash producer boyfriend "dickhead".
Harris made an attempt to stop the feud by telling Malik that it's all good. "it was the quote not you personally mate," he wrote. Harris threw out a "lol" and ended everything with a compliment to Malik's voice. As mentioned by E! News, Malik won the Twitter war against Harris.
Amidst the Twitter dispute caused by Malik and Harris, a mild hysteria also took place when Malik's former group mate Louis Tomlinson. It started when he decided to take the DJ's side and even favorited his tweet. Harris' tweet stated that Malik shouldn't use other artists just to benefit from their success.
It surely broke many of the Directioners' heart. Now, many speculate that the former bandmates are having bad blood. It appeared that Tomlinson decided to diss his former 1 D bandmate Zayn Malik. In fact, it was also reported that the two actually feuded before when Malik sided Naughty Boy on Twitter.
While the issue was heating up, Malik called Harris "Dickhead" and Swift's beau commended Malik for his great voice. And within hours of reacting about Malik and Harris' feud, fandoms were split into Team Zayniacs and Team Talvin.
